I am a native Chinese speaker from Taiwan having taught Chinese for more than 20 years to students of all levels. Previously, I taught at the Webb school of Knoxville but I primarily teach one on one lessons. I have experience with students ranging from Elementary Schoolers to Adults. Lessons can be provided in either traditional or simplified Chinese characters.

My goal is to make Chinese an enjoyable experience while ensuring a solid foundation is created for future learning and the use of the language in the classroom or abroad. From a teacher’s perspective, Chinese learning appears to create stress for many students because of the heavy focus on memorization. I place focus on changing that mentality to create a process which involves a more comfortable and smooth learning path. Lessons are customized based on each student’s level and can be aligned with a school's pace if desired. I also am available to translate and aid in business transactions dealing with the Chinese language if required.
